9 out of 10

Wow, this is one of the best books I have read in the past year. And I don't even like fantasy crap.

I'll try to be a little more descriptive than my dear husband.

I really enjoyed this book. The character development was nice and detailed, nothing was put in the storyline arbitrarily. Knowing a little bit about world mythology goes a very long way in this story. The main character is really nice contrast to all of the people that the reader meets along the way. And the story truly keeps you hooked. Just a really good, satisfying read.

It's reserved as a surprise for matindautomne as a thank-you gesture for her generosity.

This book reached my mailbox this morning. A chilly morning it had been, but then I felt all comfy and cheered up with my new BC Gaiman book! Thank you both!
