Well, I haven't gotten around to reading this one yet, and since I'm going to be busy with school this year, I've decided to turn it into a bookray! The List 1. itpdx - USA - (North America preferred) 2. Withoutwings - USA - (US preferred)<----- Book is Here 3. cambridgelass - UK 4. caroley - UK - (international) 5. Chantie - Canada - Just a few Bookray Guidelines: -- Journal the book as soon as you receive it, and contact the next person for their mailing address. -- Take as much time as you need, but try to read within 4-6 weeks so the ray keeps moving along. -- Take a moment to journal your thoughts on the book when finished. It's interesting to read other's feelings on the book too!

Journal Entry 9 by itpdx from Portland, Oregon USA on Saturday, August 23, 2008
I picked up this book to read because Nick Hornby in his book, The Polysyllabic Spree, held Lehane up as the best mystery/thriller writer around. I agree that this is an excellent mystery. In most mysteries, most or all the characters are two-dimensional, card-board cut outs, Colonel Mustards and Professor Plums moving through the plot. Lehane's characters have histories, flaws, strengths, and emotions that you can feel. You can see, hear and smell the Buckingham flats neighborhood where this story takes place. The book will be off to the next bookcrosser in the ray
