Found at the thrift store this weekend!

I started this back in June on vacation but put it down after reading about 100 pages for several months. I'd even lost it for a while. I had a hard time initially keeping up with the different characters and time periods but after getting back into the book last week, I was better able to follow it. I enjoyed this touching story about a woman, her friends and her relationship with her oldest daughter. Now I can watch the movie.

Can you believe that this Louisiana native (ME!) has not read this book yet? Shame on me - I've let the GRITS down LOL!!! To think that it had to come from Illinois to get me to pay attention .
