Just registering this one before reading it.
This was a very good book. I'm not from Australia originally, but reading this book it was so easy to imagine Perth in the 1950's and 60's. The writing seems laconic and yet so much information can be given in one sentence, completely in the vernacular of the time that it blew me away. This isn't normally the type of book I'd choose to read, and it did take me a little while to finish it, but it's one I'm glad that to have read.
