Being an ailurophile, I couldn't resist this one! I will read it and then probably make it a bookring.

A must for any cat lover! Leigh Rutledge, who shares his home with 30 cats, anthropomorphizes cats while keeping them distinctly feline.

The May-December relationship between the kittenish Tonya and the aged Peach, Snowball's desperate attempts to gain the attention of the sassy Spitfire, J. B. White Socks' global search for his beloved Shasta, the sweetness of Nefertiti and Boo that degenerates into an all-out cat fight, Mindy and her mysterious secret admirer, and finally Mabel and Grouch, who prove that love knows no season. I know that everyone who joins this bookring will not be disappointed!

this is one of those books that i had to read in one sitting. wonderful book! thanks cyberkedi.

my fav story was the j.b and shasta. the funniest was mindy and the beast. interspecies love. my cat tchelsea was in love with our dog turin. they were always together until he died.

i have included a photo of 2 of my cats who had the same love as j.b and shasta. when merlin (tabby)died topaz went into mourning and a year later to the day she did it again. she later died 3 years to the day of merlin. i have their ashes together - it was true love. this is one of the best pix of the two.

i have mailed this off to megi53 today - enjoy!

I wondered how this book was going to be set up. It arrived in the mail today and, from the description on the flap, it's just like the title says: letters from six couples who just happen to be cats!

It's a beautiful book, with different stationery for each of the "characters".

Journal Entry 7 by Megi53 from Danville, Virginia USA on Wednesday, November 24, 2004
I read this in one sitting (interrupted by my teenage son's whoops of laughter when he saw the title). My favorite letters were by Sasha and J.B. because they were the longest and contained the most heartwarming story of all (not to mention the wonderful Paris setting). The photo of "J.B." in the suitcase was hilarious!

The best stationery belonged to Nefertiti -- I loved her heart stamp, especially when it broke in two. And her skull and crossbones stamp -- what a typical Siamese!

The story about Peaches and Tonya brought tears to my eyes (more laughter from son). Possible spoiler: The author's note at the end made me feel all better about those two exquisitely-illustrated kitties.

Thanks for sharing; I may read it again while I'm waiting for an address.

Received this in the mail today. It looks like a adorable coffee table book. I've already begun to read it and my little kitty Carter checked it out as well. I imagine senting the cats of previous homes the book as traveled too.

Thanks for starting this ring with such a beautiful and well cared for book. I hope to pass it along in the same great condition it was in when it arrived at my door.

This was cute coffee table book but I ended up just skimming it. It really gave me entirely too many images of cats having sex which is not really want I want to be thinking about.

Sending to LadyShaye.

Just received this book today, and I've already read about a quarter of it. What an adorable book. Thanks so much for including me in the bookring. I'll finish reading it and then off it will go to the next person.

I e-mailed the next person on the list and its in the mail to her.

Journal Entry 13 by lostbookisland on Saturday, November 5, 2005
It is always a sad day when the Lost Book Island gets word of a book that is lost in the mail. This book has been missing for many months now and it should not take that long to travel in the post.

The Lost Book Island would like to offer this book one of our nice rooms with a big sunny spot to lounge in. And there are plenty of other things to do here on the island, there are palm trees to rest under, and lots of sand to kick up in a frolicking game of choice. It is hoped that this book will have a short stay here and that a new journal entry will come soon that tells all of the interested parties where this book has ended up and when it will be able to return to its intended bookring path.
