In Morality for Beautiful Girls, Precious Ramotswe, founder and owner of the only detective agency for the concerns of both ladies and others, investigates the alleged poisoning of the brother of an important “Government Man,” and the moral character of the four finalists of the Miss Beauty and Integrity Contest, the winner of which will almost certainly be a contestant for the title of Miss Botswana. Yet her business is having money problems, and when other difficulties arise at her fiance’s Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors, she discovers the reliable Mr J.L.B. Matekoni is more complicated then he seems.

Just received this from Sally906. Looking forward to reading it. Thanks

Oops, forgot to write something in the journal. I really like these books and the characters with their simple dignity and Botswana phylosophy. I would have prefered the book to have stayed with just one or 2 stories instead there were too many different stories and none went into much depth. Nevertheless, I'm going to keep reading the series.

McCall Smith never fails to entertain with this series. I particularly enjoyed the thread of kick-butt feminism running through this one. However I agree with Arrietty in regard to too many stories one of which at least fails to be resolved adequately by the end. Going on my work bookshelf.

This wonderful book was given to me by my sister in law, from Adelaide Australia. A really great and enjoyable read!
