A wonderful retelling of Rapunzel. When I plugged in the ISBN it brought the book up as a Children's Book. I don't agree so I've changed it. It is a harsh fairy tale to begin with. Rapunzel does start to go off the deep end in the tower. I mean, wouldn't you?

I'm starting this as a bookring.

I've been away on holiday, so only just got this book. I LOVE it - I read it in about an hour because I just couldn't stop. Konrad and Zel are probably some of the most magical characters I've come across so far this year, and I'm seriously considering buying a copy for myself!

A great book! I never liked the story of Rapunzel, but now I'll have to reconsider...

Warsaw/Poland - Just received today. It came on the tail of several other bookrings, but hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Warsaw/Poland - Oh I like it! I really liked how Napoli examined the psychological aspect of the characters: Rapunzel's madness, the exploration of "Mother"'s motives, Kondrad's obsession...it really brought the tale to life. Altogether a very enjoyable read. I've got it all packaged and addressed so as soon as I get to the post office (probably tomorrow) I'll have it off on it's way to bookharlot. Thanks for including me on the ring! :-D

I am declaring this bookring stalled/lost/MIA.....

Bookharlot is not responding to numerous PM's, although she has listed the book as "Received" on her profile page.

Hopefully one day it will begin moving again. :(

This book has just dragged up on the shores of the Lost Book Island. Here it will be allowed to stay until another journal entry comes to tell us the tale of where this book has been these many months and if it will ever get the chance to continue on its preplanned bookring journey. It is hoped by all that the day for that new journal entry will come soon.

I'm happy to say this ring is being revived. fizzfred has found her own copy and will continue the ring. :)
