WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Thanks Rachel for saving this book for me at the Nottingham meet up. I will journal it as soon as I have read it.
Kinsey Millhone is under attack from a hired assassin and while she investigates another mystery is protected by a private investigator called Dietz who acts as her own personal bodyguard. Great book.
I parked up at Moto Services this afternoon because I just had to know the ending, so, I sat in my car and read the last 50 pages!!! I gave myself a sort of extended lunch hour! It's definitely the best one in the alphabet series for me so far, so thanks again Rachel for the book. I'll offer it up on BCUK as a ray.
Just a mini-ray then: posted 19/10

Excellent, excellent, excellent! There is a different approach to this Kinsey Millhone mystery. Firstly, there is no apparent killer to look for, just some mysterious events, and secondly, Kinsey herself is a target. Just as the format was getting a little jaded this one has come along and livened up the scene again. Looking forward to the next one now.

Looking forward to this one too, the companion to F, both of which thunked on my mat this morning.
I did enjoy the postcard that seems to be accompanying it.

A change of direction in the series - Sue Grafton goes all psychological on us. Somebody is putting the frighteners on our Kinsey, and meanwhile her client, whose mother has gone missing, is very, very scared of something. Something nasty in her past, where Kinsey Millhone must boldly go.
I'm not sure that it comes off as well as it might, but as you read there's a real sense of hidden menace about to burst through.
I've had this ray an awful long time I'm afraid, and since it arrived I've read B, C, D, E and F along with an awful lot of other books. I'll pass ikt on to mastulela if she still wants it, otherwise I'll send it on its way.
