My cover is different from the one shown here. This book grew on me as I read it. She creates some very vivid characters, especially the victim in the novel. Just when you think the book has come to an end, she throws in one more detail that is just heart wrenching.

It was a good mystery. The main character seems to be strange. At first I thought that she was sincere in her will to find the killer. As the novel went on, I started to realise that it wasn't so. In the end I really didn't like her at all.

I have returned from my Overseas trip, but spent last week visiting my husband in Westmead hospital after he developed some illness from Hong Kong. I will be on this ASAP, hoping by the end of the week. I apologise for leaving it so long!!

Walters has a lot going for her in this novel. Through her book she raises awareness of social injustices of our society, while developing a character who seems real almost.

It was a great form of escapism and I thank dragonfly4 for organising the ring.
