Journal Entry 3 by sweetpea0678 from St. Petersburg, Florida USA on Monday, August 23, 2004
Book arrived safely here today. Already began going through this book. There is only one listing for Florida and I was actually there last year for my birthday. Wish they had more listed for Florida. Will read more later on and share with my boyfriend. Probably be done by weeks end. And then will send it off to the next person on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Thanks for sharing.

Journal Entry 9 by Lpree from Omaha, Nebraska USA on Friday, October 15, 2004
This arrived in yesterday's mail. I have some other bookrings ahead of it but will read as quickly as I can. Please check my profile to see where I am in my reading list as well as an expected finish date for this book. I can tell I'm going to be making lots of notes on places to visit with this book!

UPDATE 10/23 - I'm starting this today. I think it will be a quick read, so I expect to finish this over the weekend.

Journal Entry 10 by Lpree from Omaha, Nebraska USA on Monday, October 25, 2004
I finished this book last night. How I wish I could do one grand tour of all these places! So many of them sounded really neat. I do wonder, though, why the author bothered to include the privately-owned places. I mean, this is a travel guide after all - why include those places where you are unlikely to be able to visit? Anyway, there are a few in my area, so I will certainly have to check them out!

I've sent a PM to RainDrop162004 for an address and hope to mail this out sometime this week. Thanks to JustJen for the opportunity to check this book out!

UPDATE 11/10 - This was sent media mail to RainDrop162004 today.

Okay, here's what happened with this book and why it took so long to get registered. A few days ago I went to the post office because I was becoming worried because I hadn't received the book yet. I had talked to the woman at the counter and she said they always get packages that end up somehow getting messed up during their travel. I asked her if she could find this name and book for me, and it turns out that they were able to find it after about half an hour. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I did get the book and it is safe now.

I enjoyed reading this book immensely! I copied down some of the addys and places so I could go one day. (ONE DAY...lol) Will be getting addy to send along to next person asap.

Awesome book, now I know why I love reading, because people can come up with incredible books!

:-)

Just rec'd in the mail, looking forward to finding nearby haunts!

Journal Entry 13 by wingAnonymousFinderwing on Sunday, December 12, 2004
Finished reviewing the book, who would have thunk there were this many haunted places in the U.S.?! Pm'ed WintersQT4ever for her address.

Journal Entry 14 by WintersQT4ever from Ypsilanti, Michigan USA on Tuesday, December 28, 2004
Ok, I must finish the book i am currently reading but then i will dive into this one and pass it on... I will get it out as soon as I can but it might have two readers at this household... we'll do our best for 3 weeks but count on 4. Thanks! Oh by the way thanks for the postcard nomadbooklver.

Journal Entry 15 by WintersQT4ever from Ypsilanti, Michigan USA on Tuesday, December 28, 2004
We are finished with this book it is not our style. Here are our reviews:

Danielle- At first this book was ok but then i found that there wasen't much inside, not very much information on the hauntings just baely enough to give you a chill, I like to read ghost books and normally I get them from the library but these weren't very good at all. The stories did not flow and there needed to be more for the U.S. longer ones would have been a pleasure too.

Rhonda- As Danielle said I also enjoy reading ghost books I gave this one about 4 minutes of my time. i picked it up and found the stories much to short for my liking and then as I read I noticed they did not give much information. i think i have heard that Hans Holzer is not very good but I'm not sure.

Conclusion: The book was bad!

I will send this on to the next person in line as soon as I recieve the address. Thanks for sending this though it has expanded our knowledge on ghost hauntings...

-Danielle and Rhonda

Plus there were no hauntings in Michigan... boohoo.

I love this kind of stuff! I actually read this while on vacation in Costa Rica. (Came home, put iton my shelf... forgot I had it.) Thank you JustJen for the reminder email or who knows how long it may have sat there before I realized it was a bookring. : )
I enjoyed the book and will send a message now to get it on the road again!

Journal Entry 18 by nicole4 from Chicago, Illinois USA on Thursday, April 7, 2005
I already skimmed through it and there aren't any haunted places in my state or my home state of Oregon, so I probably won't hold on to it too long!

Journal Entry 19 by nicole4 from Chicago, Illinois USA on Friday, April 15, 2005
There wasn't much about cities I've been to, so I didn't read much!

Mailed to mysterylady36 4/15/05

Journal Entry 20 by mysterylady36 from Ashland, Missouri USA on Monday, April 25, 2005
I've already looked and am a little disappointed that there are none in Missouri. But there are a few that I might be able to visit. Especially the ones in Toronto!

Journal Entry 21 by mysterylady36 from Ashland, Missouri USA on Sunday, May 15, 2005
There are a couple of haunted houses listed for Toronto, so I am hoping when I attend the convention next year I will get to visit them!

I will be mailing this as soon as I get an address.
