Got this at Goodwill for $0.25 while looking for books for the August Summer Blooms Release Challenge.
This is a Newberry Medal winner I read as a child and loved. Couldn't pass it up when I saw it at the store!

I read this today while relaxing after a root canal. I'd forgotten what a good book it is! This book accomplishes entertainment, teaching history, teaching morals, and more. It also makes me want to go to Wisconsin :)
I've offered this to a BCer who recently mentioned she'd like to see it again. I've always loved Caddie Woodlawn, and I'm happy to share it :)
I read this book for the first time when I was about 9 years old... Antof9 just sent it to me so I can read it again now that I am 22. It's one of those books that the main character reminds me of myself and the book has just stuck with me for years and years. I couldn't find it for the longest time until I remembered it again one day when I was on Bookcrossing. Just a reminder of how great books can truly be. Hopefully, if Antof9 is not opposed to it, I wouldn't love to hang onto the book until my daughter is able to read it. (She is 3 and a half) It will not be for a few years, but I would really love for her to read this book someday and I think I would have just as hard of a time trying to find it then, as I did for me. So with Antof9's permission I will put it on my Permanent collection. But, I can understand if Antof9 would like to have it returned, as we both loved it when we were kids ourselves. Can't wait to read it again!
