Tim Winton's writing creates such vivid pictures for me, but unfortunately, I got a bit lost in this story. Readable none the less. Have control released to Roadster04.

I had no problem imagining the main characters but tended to get lost with the sometimes bizarre crowd that we're treated to once Scully leaves Ireland in search of the wife we never meet.
