If you love fairy tales, you should enjoy this book. "Romance, deceit, heroism, lies, adventure and true love - just another day in the Big Apple? No way. Welcome to the Tenth Kingdom. Suppose you were on your way to work. Not a great job, just one that pays the bills. And suddenly, you are in the middle of a fantastic adventure and running for your life."

Journal Entry 7 by bilbi from Chambéry, Rhône-Alpes France on Tuesday, December 28, 2004
Just received ! I'm looking forward to reading this ! I saw it on TV last Christmas. A few months later I was watching "NYPD blue" and there was this bad guy which was annoying Diane Russell. I was thinking : "But I know who this guy is !! Where did I see him ?" . I then realised that he was the nice guy... I mean wolf in the 10th Kindgom. Thank you for sharing this book...

I think it must the fact that I have 3 more rings in front of me, but I couldn't really get into it. It sounds like a great story, which I'd enjoy if I had more time at hand to just dwelve in the fantasy world, but right now I'll just pass it on to Jolanda, as I got her address. Will send the book surface probl. next Wednesday.

Journal Entry 18 by KiwiWonder from Auckland, Auckland Province New Zealand on Monday, April 25, 2005
I found this book really slow to get moving -- slow enough, in fact, that I almost gave up around page 80! After that, however, things pick up quite a bit, the plot starts twisting in ways that made me want to keep reading. Overall, an enjoyable book. The writing style was fairly shallow but perhaps this was to be expected -- and it did help the book move. On the whole, I don't read books that are based on movies and/or screenplays, but this was an exception to the rule, and one I'm glad I made. Now to see about getting hold of the DVD! Mailed via airmail to Lisagt today.

Journal Entry 20 by Lisagt from Holsworthy, New South Wales Australia on Wednesday, June 08, 2005
Hi everyone! When I joined this bookring I was last and so I asked lauraloo29 if I could take a bit longer with it as I wanted to read it (with some edits!) to my daughters. She kindly agreed and so I have now had this book for over a month. Now that others have joined I thought I would just let you know that we are past the half-way mark and will hopefully have it moving again soon. We thank you for your understanding...

Comments by Izzy aged 7: I LOVED this! It was fantastic! I think everyone should read it even though it is a little scary but mum skipped over those bits anyway! I really liked the Queen even though she was bad and Virginia too. Mum liked Wolf! I liked Prince Wendell as well. I hope you really like it too. Thankyou for lending it to me to read lauraloo29. Mum is just waiting to get JeSuisBelle's address and she will be sending it on.

Journal Entry 24 by lauraloo29 from Edmonton, Alberta Canada on Friday, September 23, 2005
JeSuisBelle has had this book for almost 8 weeks. I can't get a response to PM's or ISO posts. I do note that she has other stalled bookrings in her possession. I'm hoping this book begins moving again someday as this is one of my favorites.

Journal Entry 25 by lostbookisland on Sunday, February 12, 2006
This book seems to have been a long time in the possession of just one BookCrosser. The Lost Book Island has a special place just for these books. There is plenty of room here at the Lost Book Island where the books can run and play in the sandy surf and get plenty of relaxation in the shade of a palm. It is hoped that one day very soon this book will get the journal entry that is so desired to tell all of the interested parties that this book will once again be on the move and will get the chance to continue along its bookring journey.
