I loved this book! The observations were thoughtful without being too literary. Her descriptions of Heaven were truly creative and descriptive. I hated to finish it. I felt like I truly knew these characters and loved them flaws and all.

Fantastic!!! I really enjoyed this book when I read it, and the reading of it here on this audio was wonderful. There is a part at the end of chapter 14: "Because horror on Earth is real and it is everyday. It is like a flower or like the sun; it cannot be contained." That is the most eloquent summary of violent death I have ever read. Wonderful, truly! Another place when I had to pull over and write down a line was when Suzie is describing Lindsay as Lindsay is breaking into the neighbors house: " . . . eyes like flint and flower petals . . ." I'll package this book up this week and send it along to BigJohnLefty!

I enjoyed this as much as I did reading the book - there were little details I'd forgotten. A couple more deaths of friends have occurred since my reading the book - hearing this caused me to think about the dead's spirits walking among us.

It just came in the mail today. It is on TEN Cds. I read and enjoyed it, and plan to share it with family members who can no longer read. It will then go into a small group of audiobooks I am building for people with difficulty reading in the local Senior community.
