Loved it! Quick, easy read; simple plot but enough interesting New York/intellectual/fashionista stuff to keep me going. Just challenging enough for after a long work day.
The scary part of the book is not what the author says but what's implied by the fact that so many children in places like NYC are missing out on being raised by real parents and are being taught by example that only material objects and things having snob appeal are important. Little Grayer was lucky to have Nanny, even for a short period, as she kept his world centered on something as normal as a child like he could have it. Shame on the parents; but people like they never see themselves in the mirror, do they?
