I've heard that this book was just awesome, far surpassing the movie (duh), so I'll have to try it on for size!

I really enjoyed this book. It is basically a war novel that happens to be set in the future and in space, but it was just so hard to put down. I can see why it is labeled "controversial", being written in 1959 (even by today's standards really), as it has some great ponderable ideals regarding war itself, ethics of war, and societal ethics. I'm glad this book wasn't among those old TBRs I purged from my shelves, it was well worth the wait. Now to set it free....
