The stories in this book were light and amusing though I thought a few of them would have been better if they had gone into more detail. The one mentioned by crrcookie is quite well know here in the UK and having been in quite similar circumstances I can understand how it happened.

Finished the book last night! I really enjoyed it. I was familiar with a couple of the stories in it. There were 2 about San Cristobal in Puerto Rico and I was there in January but didn't have time to tour the fort (just walked by the outside of it). Now I wish I had seen the inside after reading those stories! Hope to get this mailed out tomorrow to Lpree.

I finished this last night - what a great collection of stories! I love reading this kind of stuff. Also, it was easy to pick up and put down, which was nice.

I just finished reading this tonight, it really was a great little book. Thanks for sharing Czersk!! There were several stories that I had heard before, but most of them were new too me.

Well I was expecting this big thick book that had interesting tales, that might be somewhat believable. Instead it was a tiny paperback with most stories being a page and a half long, some with illustrations. The stories were kind of redundant and boring.
I just read all the other journal entries, I like to save them for after I finish the book. I guess I am the only one who didn't enjoy this one. Hopefully Wingedman likes it better than I did. I should have this in the mail in by Friday.
Czersk thanks for sharing, I am always glad for the opportunity to try something new.
