Journal Entry 1 by Czersk from Roscoe, Minnesota USA on Sunday, July 25, 2004
from back: "Phantom ships . . . ghostly people . . .a vanishing city . . . lost treasure. Eighty incredible tales to fascinate and intrigue you. Weird events, impossible escapes, unbelievable happenings that defy scientific explanation." I love the paranormal weird stuff that this book is just brimming with. It never gets old.

Journal Entry 5 by crrcookie from Tecumseh, Oklahoma USA on Friday, January 14, 2005

This was a great read. I enjoyed all of the little short stories. In fact, I could read one complete story sometimes in the time it was taking for a BookCrossing forum post to load when the site was running slow last night. These remind me of the TV series Unsolved Mysteries where often they would do stories on the "unexplained" and I even recognized a couple of those stories as ones that had been featured on the show. Like the one about the woman who appears and goes out dancing even though she has been dead for some years. I think some of my favorites in the book were the ones that were actually "solved". I think that it goes to show that so many things can be explained if someone would just take the time and/or had the resources to do it. My all time favorite of the book was The Ghost in the Graveyard on page 59. It just made me laugh. I will be passing this on very soon to the next person on the list. What fun it will be to see more comments on this book. C

The stories in this book were light and amusing though I thought a few of them would have been better if they had gone into more detail. The one mentioned by crrcookie is quite well know here in the UK and having been in quite similar circumstances I can understand how it happened.

Journal Entry 10 by PrincessJCM on Thursday, February 17, 2005
Finished the book last night! I really enjoyed it. I was familiar with a couple of the stories in it. There were 2 about San Cristobal in Puerto Rico and I was there in January but didn't have time to tour the fort (just walked by the outside of it). Now I wish I had seen the inside after reading those stories! Hope to get this mailed out tomorrow to Lpree.

Journal Entry 18 by Apolonia from Lynn, Massachusetts USA on Monday, May 09, 2005
Well I was expecting this big thick book that had interesting tales, that might be somewhat believable. Instead it was a tiny paperback with most stories being a page and a half long, some with illustrations. The stories were kind of redundant and boring. I just read all the other journal entries, I like to save them for after I finish the book. I guess I am the only one who didn't enjoy this one. Hopefully Wingedman likes it better than I did. I should have this in the mail in by Friday. Czersk thanks for sharing, I am always glad for the opportunity to try something new.
