I picked this one up at the used bookstore. It looks hilarious, especially the cartoons.
I picked this one up off a stack of newly acquired parenting books at the used bookstore. What a treat! I bought it for the author's cartoons, which illustrate the story. But I read it from cover to cover because it made me laugh out loud, in the vein of Erma Bombeck. Anyone who has worked around those who work with children will recognize some of these personalities; I for one have met my own Mrs. Kibble. This is one I want to share with the world.
I got this funny-looking book today in the mail and can't wait to read it! I picked it up before dinner and had trouble putting it down. I'll report back soon!

This lived up to Tesslouise's hype and was a most enjoyable read! I loved all the stories and humorous bits, and I loved that it was light without being boring or run-of-the-mill.
The only thing I didn't like wasn't actually part of the book itself, it was the author's finding a nanny tips at the end. I was really insulted at some of the suggestions, even if they were meant to be humorous (don't take any phone messages for your nanny?). The auhtor should have skipped the last bit and stuck to the amusing, touching story!
Thanks Tesslouise for the chance to read this. I enjoyed it.

The book arrived today with perfect timing as I just finished up another bookring book. I'm looking forward to starting it tonight. Thanks for starting the ring tesslouise!
This book was great. The author's nanny horror stories are amazing. It's hard to believe you could have that much bad luck finding a nanny. It makes you appreciate the sanity of your own life.
I mailed this book off to greenfrog03 today.

A very funny read, and a very lovable young woman.
Some of the stories are a little hard to believe, though!
I'm mailing this to jelicle today.

I found this a cute read, but some was a bit unbelievable. I tried to find whether it was classified as fiction or nonfiction on the cover page and jacket, but no luck... I have been through at least 5 nannies (outside my home) myself. One was great, two were ok, and two were awful. The awful ones smoked cigarettes and pot in front of my asthmatic daughter and dumped her in front of the t.v. One had a gun in the house on top of the refrigerator (in a plastic grocery bag, no less...). Needless to say, when I found my gem, I stuck with her for all three of my kids. My youngest is now 4 and will be off to kindergarten next year. If anyone ever settles in the St. Louis area, though, I'd be happy to give a recommendation for Linda!
mrsordonez was kind enough to send this book along when she sent a bookring book to me. It looks pretty interesting! Thanks for sending it.
I really enjoyed this book. Have no idea why it took me so long to journal it (thought I had already done it) but in any case, I found it very funny and do recommend it.
