Journal Entry 1 by Atenea-Nike on Thursday, July 15, 2004
I bought this book as a treat to myself after passing my final exam at Law school. In fact I had been looking for a Terry pratchett in english, but I couldn't find any, so I took this one instead: equally funny, but in a different way. Even though I am not from the USA some of the things Michael moore points out can be translated to different countries, different governments. And a good laugh is always a good laugh :)

Sent yesterday to Kislany.
Michael Moore: wonderful! I love this guy who does not fear to express his opinion vis à vis the American President!

Journal Entry 5 by Kislany on Thursday, December 30, 2004
Got it this morning, will start reading it right after I've finished my current read, then pass it on.

RELEASE NOTES:

Sending to the next in the ring.
Was a good book, haven't read it cover to cover though, only bits and pieces that were more interesting for me.
Thanks for adding me to the ring.

Journal Entry 7 by Pauloca from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Tuesday, January 11, 2005
I got it today, but I am going to change places with quico (since we are from the same town), cause I don't have time to read it now.

Journal Entry 8 by quico from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Monday, January 17, 2005
Got it today from Pauloca.

Journal Entry 9 by quico from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Wednesday, February 2, 2005
As usual, Michael Moore speaks his mind about George W. Bush and friends. I liked the book, but I must confess that this time I prefer the movie (Fahrenheit 9/11): the face of Bush when he's told the USA are under attack is worth a thousand words.

Journal Entry 10 by quico from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Friday, February 4, 2005
Pmed Pauloca, telling her the book is avaiable.

Journal Entry 11 by Pauloca from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Saturday, February 5, 2005
Still no time to read it.

Journal Entry 12 by quico from Coimbra (cidade), Coimbra Portugal on Saturday, February 5, 2005
brasileirandesa asked to be skipped.
PMed brujula for the address.
Brujula has too many bookrings with her at this moment and asked to be moved to the end of the list.
Pmed Xanocas for her address.

Here it goes to Xanocas!

Journal Entry 14 by Xanocas on Wednesday, February 23, 2005
Received it yesterday.

Journal Entry 15 by Xanocas on Thursday, March 10, 2005
I read this book after reading Stupid White Men (the portuguese version). I also saw his documentary: Fahrenheit 9/11.

As Atenea-Nike puts it: a lot of the things/situations described by Michael Moore can be translated to other countries. It's a schocking and funny book at the same time (if you still can be schocked by what politicians do and say).

Journal Entry 16 by bookmanu from Cascais, Lisboa (distrito) Portugal on Thursday, March 24, 2005
Thanks Atenea-Nike and Xanocas!

Found it in my postbox about half an hour ago...

2 rings ahead of this one but I promise to send it on its journey soon...

Journal Entry 20 by Brujula from Valenciennes, Nord-Pas-de-Calais France on Wednesday, June 8, 2005
Received it yesterday.

Thank you daemonwolf and Atenea-Nike for sharing!
As I have many books to read and I'm the last one on the ring, I think I won't start it right away, so it'll take me a little over a month to read it, if it's ok...

Journal Entry 21 by Brujula from Valenciennes, Nord-Pas-de-Calais France on Monday, October 3, 2005
This book has been written to try to get americans to vote for someone else than Bush. Some of the things Moore writes are reasonable, some others are rather weird (can you really picture Oprah Winfrey running for president?)
It is an interesting book, funny at times, but I felt there were too many redundancies in it.

Thank you for organizing this ring Atenea-Nike!
I'll mail it back to you as soon as I get to a post-office!
