It took me two weeks to get to page 26. Then I decided - it's not me, it's the book.

I will possibly give this wildly popular author another chance sometime - but this book is hittin' the road.

9 out of 10

I really enjoyed this book, I got completely sucked into the story. I like the almost detached way the narrator talked and the crazy little mystical elements. I think I may actually read some of the other books by Hoffman that have been collecting around my house. Thanks for sharing Mozzfan. This book is most likely going on vacation with me, but one way or another, it isn't coming back... :)

8 out of 10

Dexcriptive characters, some of the characters are realistic, and some are what one would sterotype as a student or professor in a private school. Loved the darkness in the surroundings--alwasy knowing something ominious would happen soon. A bit heavy on all the references to roses and rabbits?
