Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This is certainly a darker novel than the previous books in the series and my favourite so far. Although death is discussed in earlier novels and a child was killed at the end of the last book in the series it wasn't somebody we were particularly familiar with. This is the first time that "somebody" we have gradually got to know has been killed off towards the end of the novel.
I'm looking forward to the Half Blood Prince coming out in paperback (soon I hope!)

We found the book on a windy day high on the ramparts of the old ruined castle in Cornwall in early June. Very Hogwarts! We were on holiday from Australia and have brought it home to read. It is now August. We plan to leave this book in another tourist spot, perhaps the Ballarat goldfields to hopefully continue its journey around the would. Antarctica would be good, lt's see if we can arrange it. Thanks to those who of you have held the book before.
