Journal Entry 2 by Gooner from March, Cambridgeshire United Kingdom on Monday, July 19, 2004
I read this ages ago, and hoped to have time to do a re-read by now. Unfortunately, the syndrom known to BCers as "too-many-books, not-enough-time-yet" has crept up on me again. Thanks to jmpringl for agreeing that I can send it off as a bookring on his behalf. I hope that by the time it returns to me my TBR pile will be non-existent. Updated: 6 August 2004 The ring is as follows: 1. Swan of Kennet 2. botanic-girl2000 3. Squirk 4. Anfield 5. sunflowergirl (added to list 190505) 6. back to Gooner

Journal Entry 4 by SwanOfKennet from Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria United Kingdom on Tuesday, August 17, 2004
A thoroughly absorbing and eye-opening read. I eat very little fast food but after this I'd be very wary of anything I ate if I didn't know exactly where it came from! Reserved pending receipt of next ringer's address

Thank you - the book arrived safely at my desk this morning. I'm preparing to be shocked by the fast food business soon!

Journal Entry 9 by squirk from West Norwood, Greater London United Kingdom on Tuesday, September 28, 2004
I knew this book was going to unravel bad things about the food industry, but it really managed to shock me. The most hideous parts are how the workers are badly treated, ignored and underpaid (for doing thankless jobs). I had a dislike for the big fast-food chains before I read this, but I'm particularly against the big guys now. Anfield has a copy of the book already awaiting her attention, so I'll pass back to Gooner. Many thanks for sharing the book!
