from amazon.com:

"When the reigning Archangel is grounded with a broken wing, Jovah chooses Alleluia as her successor, but now the fate of the planet rests with the reluctant Archangel Alleluia, whose own fate depends on a mortal man who believes only in science and himself."

I got this today. I'm so excited! I only have one book to finish before I can get started on this.

I was a little disappointed in the direction this took in the last few chapters. I got over it though. I look forward to reading the next one.

Jovah's Angel just came today, and I'm very excited to see it. Archangel was Brilliant, and I've been clamoring to get a hold of its sequel ever since I read it. My schedule is CrazyBusy right now, but I hope to get to it soon. (Alas, not much will be able to keep me away.) Thank you Scrawler and Tish2002!

I knew I'd loose sleep over this one. Sharon Shinn never fails to captivate me, and this time she completely threw me for a loop. All the while I was reading Archangel, it never occurred to me that Samaria was a futuristic society. I know it said so on the blurb-- but who ever trusts that? I thought it was quite simply a fantasy set in another world like ours a few thousand years ago, approximately the Old Testament era, except this one was inhabited by angels. I was shocked when I realized (rather delayed, I admit) that the miracle music machines that play Hagar's music (and the other angel settlers' music as well) were CD players, and the interfaces consulted by the oracles were computers, keyboards and all. Perhaps it was because Sharon Shinn didn't go into the technological details in the first novel.

It was a wonderfully brilliant book-- I Cannot Wait to read The Alleluia Files.

I will mail this off today.

I've had this book for nearly a month and the most I have been able to do is begin reading a few pages. I want so badly to read it but with everything I have going on at the moment it is just taking me too long. It's not fair to hold everyone else up so I'm going to go ahead and send this one to Mytilus.

I thought this was a super read, better even than Shinn’s first book. The whole concept is refreshing and innovative. I’m really looking forward to seeing what direction this series takes next.

Thank you so much for including me in this ring!
