Great fun, two of the best characters in one book! The chapters are written in alternating order by the Count and Dr Watson. Explains also some of Holmes' past, which is a bit of a stretch but, in the spirit of the novel, just as possible as anything else, I guess. As light and fluffy as it is dark, deep and uncomfortably dehumanising...

This book was given to me by Libertine101 who, seeing it on the "Table of Temptation", must have realised that I was the obvious candidate for it.

Woosang, if my ancient and deteriorating brain confused the giver do please forgive me. I was wet and muddled by the time I ploughed through the rain that Friday night. Super to see you again and must say I am enjoying Trainman's great photos.

From back cover
Crime Makes Strange Partnerships -
And none stranger than that between Sherlock Holmes and Count Dracula.
Holmes confronts a pair of impossible problems: a ring of criminal masterminds threatening to loose thousands of plague-infected rats into the streets of London and a bizarre killer who leaves a trail of bloodless corpses... and no other clues...
Dracula holds the key to both mysteries. Returned to London on a personal matter, the Count is quickly entangled in a web of evil that even his undead powers may not be enough to breach.

This was a novel development by one of the writers attempting to emulate Conan Doyle. Its the first I've read by this writer. From the listings in the front of the book it looks as if he might perhaps be a Sci-FI writer so I'm unlikely to come across others but who knows.

Really enjoyed this.

Not my usual sort of book but quite fun. Bit of a stretch with Holmes' early life, but who am I to say..?!
