I like Tom Robbins better as a quirky, experimental writer, but at the same time, as this was my first exposure to some of the weirder stuff out there, I was happy to have read this book. A classic!

Found the book looking lonely on a grocery store shelf among the cereal boxes. Decided it needed a warm, comfortable place to call home for a little while, before it headed off on its wonderful adventure again. I hope it finds many exotic locations to visit in its travels.
