A woman is ravished...
and to her a child is born...
unleashing an unimaginable evil upon the world!
And they call him BAAL in the orphanage, where he leads the children on a rampage of violence...in California, where he appears as the head of a deadly Manson-like cult...in Kuwait, where crazed millions heed his call to murder and orgy.
They call him BAAL in the Arctic's hellish wasteland, where he is tracked by the only three men with a will to stop him: Zark, the shaman; Virga, the aging professor of theology; and Michael, the powerful, mysterious stranger.
Picked this up second-hand and never read it - sending on to AlterEgoZoe in PA as a gift with some relays.

Thanks Jenny!
My daughter found this book under the edge of the couch today when trying to find something else that had rolled under the couch. It must have slipped under there as I was going through AlterEgoZoe's Horror Bookbox last week. I have already mailed the box off to Bibliocrates, but I did put in one more book than I took out, so I will correct my journal entry and keep this one also. If I hadn't put in an extra, I would send this one on to the next bookbox participant or back to AlterEgoZoe. Sorry this happened, but at least I did include an extra book. I had actually considered reading this one anyway, so I will read it and pass it on when I'm done with it. Sorry for the confusion! This is the first time I've ever made this mistake.
I tried to read this book, but it just wasn't interesting to me. Just within the first couple of chapters a couple of offensive things are said about a black character, i.e. the "n" word is used. Though I am white, I have just been brought up better than this so I was a bit offended when the police officer in the 2nd chapter said, "Some n**** found her." Besides that, the book just didn't seem that interesting from the part that I read.
