Leonard's name keeps popping up in my life and so I figured maybe I should take the hint and start reading some of his books. So, I snicked all of his books that were available from the back of RlyLv2Rd's SUV at the meet-up this month. This one was originally part of appaloosatb's PET project and now it will sit on my shelf awaiting an eventual read.

Vincent Mora just can't win. He's been shot, his girlfriend is about to be tossed off a balcony, and there's a vengeful creep looking to even a twisted score. Well, it sat on my shelf five years to the day. I wish I could say it was fabulous and I can't believe I didn't pick it up sooner. But, alas, Elmore Leonard fell flat for me. I had heard he was the bomb, but he's not. I found his characters plastic and the drama practically non-existant. I have a few more of his on my shelf. If they don't do it for me, I will put aside his writing as "not my cup of tea." Thanks for sharing though. It will exit the premises shortly.
