8 out of 10

Received a few days ago. Thanks!
This book would rate a perfect 10 if one of the characters hadn't died in the end. Here's a secret: Two characters die in the end but I wouldn't have had a certain one die if I was writing the book. Can you figure out which one I wish hadn't died?
It's still a good book. This one's going in my PC. BTW, stay gold.

Back reads:
A heroic story of friendship and belonging. Ponyboy can count on his brothers. And on his friends. But not on much else besides trouble with the Socs, a vicious gang of rich kids whose idea of a good time is beating up "greasers" like Ponyboy. At least he knows what to expect--until the night someone takes things too far.
