the second copy of this to go as a bookring-
I’d ask that you each take 2 pages to colour-there are 19 pages in this excellent colouring book and I’ll only take one(as it is coming back to me). Feel free to colour with any nonbookdamaging materials to make your mark-be creative-do not feel like you need to stay within the lines or follow a previous colour scheme or convention...Please do not take more than 10 days to colour your two pages and send off to the next person on the list...It’d be a good idea to PM the next person on the list (the one after you) immediately upon receiving this-so you’ll be ready with their address in 10 days or less. Have fun and here’s the list:
1.funsour ( canada)
2.cartref(UK)
3.jessibud ( canada)
4.***{asked to be taken off-so skip}***pyan ( USA)
5.booknhand ( USA)
6.Lobodyke ( USA)
7.lorit5(USA)*************last seen here-now MIA status(see last entry****************
8.mokona (USA)
9.djfil (USA)***asked to be taken off list-many obligations-so skip ***
9b.Shadie(USA)(added october21,as a replacement)
10.brookler(canada)
then back to funsour :)

it's off to cartref in the UK...before it hops back over the pond to canada and (many)american spots...
never did get any preferences as far as posting, so i'm assuming you'll all be okay with where you'll need to mail to(not a lot of international borders on this one)and no fear- this one's a light one

Just received this delightful colouring book bookring and it's now my turn to colour my 2 pages before sending it on.

I love the creativity that funsour and cartref have shown so far!

Thanks for allowing me to be part of this unique little project!

I've completed my 2 pages and am mailing it off to Booknhand today. I loved colouring books when I was a kid and this project brought back fun memories and reminded me that, even as an adult, it's ok to colour outside the lines! ;-)

Thanks, funsour, for starting this ring and I look forward to your next one!

Journal Entry 7 by booknhand from San Jose, California USA on Monday, July 19, 2004
Received this today. Very creative ideas so far.

I am excited to add my personal touch - whatever that may be. I will work on it this week and hopefully have it out by the week-end.

How fun!!!!

I just finished my two pages and will be sending it off to Lobodyke as soon as I get an address.

The creativity of the participants before me inspired me to go beyond the basics. I haven't done an art project since I left child care several years ago. It was nice to think outside the box and tap into my creative juices.

This project reminded me how important it is to connect with our childhoods on a regular basis.

I hope all the participants enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks agian to funsour for starting this :)

Released on Tuesday, August 03, 2004 at US Mail - Book Ring/Ray in San Jose, California USA.

Sent off to the next person on the list. Enjoy the creativity in this great coloring book.

Journal Entry 10 by Lobodyke from Bardstown, Kentucky USA on Friday, August 6, 2004
This is SOOOOO cool - both the actual coloring book and the creativity in it. Sure hope I can come up with something original because I'm not artistically creative. I also want to try to get one for my niece, as well as the kids' program at church. Thanks, booknhand, for the CA postcard. I'm stuck here in the cultural wasteland of KY, and it's nice to at least dream about living somewhere decent!

On its way to lorit5. I spent entirely too much time doing this, because it was fun, rather than the other things I should have been doing! I, too, hadn't been this creative in a long time and it was a blast. Guess I'm going to have to encourage my niece to color with me more often :)

Journal Entry 14 by funsour from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada on Monday, November 1, 2004
I've heard from mokona the other day saying that they have still not received the book...lorit5 has said both on their profile and in their journal entry that they sent the book out on Sept.17th...it appears that this book has disappeared into the void-so sadd I really wanted to see a copy of the colouring book when completed-that's why I sent out more than one copy and now they are all MIA
*sigh*
**Nov 2nd edit**:
"Hello funsour,
I am so sorry to say that it was the mail that lost it. I wish I could
say... OOps and bring the book back into the ring. But, I can't so all
I can say is that I am truly sorry. I had a lot of fun doing it and wish
you could see it. I mailed it out in a carboard type envelope that is
usually used for documents or pictures. I do hope it turns up at Mokona's door.
I am really sorry that this has happened."
