I wanted to like this book. I kept reading it thinking it would get better but it didn't. It just didn't seem to go anywhere. I guess the Anita Blake seres by Laurell Hamilton spoiled me. I want to like the characters in a novel. I didn't really the lead character too much. Her sidekick pixie - Jenks was the only real spark of interest at all.
