Journal Entry 1 by MarahSulloy from Regensburg, Bayern Germany on Sunday, June 13, 2004
This is my favorite G.M. book out of the four I've read. The chronological setting and environment is extremely interesting, the characters are thoroughly drawn and have tangible personalities and I really did not see the ending coming. It's a nice, dense, rewarding read. Cliff1976 has to read this before we can share it.

I got through it pretty quickly because I enjoyed it — particularly as compared to Wicked. Maybe it's because this is almost like historical fiction and Wicked is a lot more fantasy — which tends to bug me anyway. I'm glad my wife pushed me to read it. Who's next?

Finished! I enjoyed this book but was vaguely disappointed. I think that, because I have heard so much hype about this author and his books, I expected to be completely enchanted. Instead, the book was only a very good read. :) I was impressed enough that I will seek out the other books by this author, especially since my boyfriend has also expressed an interest. Many thanks to MarahSulloy for sharing this book! The next person in line for this book, Eucalia, is in the middle of a big move and has asked to be skipped for now. So, I will have this in the mail to tantan in Australia ASAP.

I loved this! It kept me reading all the way through, and even though I had some idea of how things would end I enjoyed every minute of the read. Definitely a wonderful portrayal of the Cinderella story, and utterly believable. This will be on to the next person within the week. *** Edit January 25th, 2005: Posted to Enidq today via Surface Mail. Hopefully it won't take too long.
