Journal Entry 1 by MarahSulloy from Regensburg, Bayern Germany on Sunday, June 13, 2004
Since we moved to Germany and I don't have enough German under my belt to get a job (and barely enough to shop for groceries), I've been on a huge reading kick. I wanted to read some Gregory Maguire for a long time and while I enjoyed this one, the main charater just kind of bugged me. I wouldn't want to be friends with her. It's not a bad book - just not my favorite of his.

Journal Entry 4 by YowlYY from Nottingham, not specified not specified on Wednesday, October 20, 2004

It has arrived! Many thanks to MarahSulloy for sending it...and what to say about the Deutsche Post combined with the Royal Mail service??? Brilliant! Not 10 weeks...merely 8 days, and the jiffy envelope was also in pristine condition, which will guarantee it being used for a few more book shipments ;-) I will make another JE after I've read it, and maybe start a bookray as well.

I offered this on loan to flajol, as she has it on her wish list, with the promise to bump it up on my TBR pile on its return. So many books, and too little time...*sigh*! Off in the mail First Class today....happy reading :)

Thank you for the loan, Yowlyy! I'm quite excited about reading this - I loved "Wicked", and I'm hoping this will be just as good.

Journal Entry 7 by flajol from Preston, Lancashire United Kingdom on Monday, October 02, 2006
Not as good as "Wicked" (that is a hard act to follow), but still an enjoyable read. I found it a little confusing at times, but the confusion made sense as the main character revealed more about herself. An odd book, and one that would probably stand re-reading to get the most out of it. Thanks for letting me borrow it YowlYY - it'll be back with you by the end of the week.

Journal Entry 9 by YowlYY from Nottingham, not specified not specified on Wednesday, October 04, 2006
"LOST" is back safe and sound - thanks so much Flajol for taking good care of it, and providing it with another JE. It now goes straight to my TBR pile, just after the three rings that I am reading now, and once I am done I plan to organise an international bookring (or ray) for it.
