The Back of the Book
Jessie has kept the identity of her son Oliver's father a secret for years. She's stunned when she discovers that the man in question, actor Toby Gillespie, has just moved in next door. The truth's about to come out.
One glance at Oliver, and a little mental arithmetic, and Toby has the situation sussed. Meeting the son he never knew he had is the shock of a lifetime. It's a shock, too, for Toby's wife, the beautiful Deborah, though she seems to take it in her stride.
Would Deborah be so relaxed if she kenw just how close Toby wants to get to the mother of his firsborn? As the attraction between them flares up again, Jessie just can't see her way to a happy ending. But no one is quite what they seem, and there are more surprises to come ...

Finished this book. Enjoyed it enough. The story was very developed and not rushed. I found the characters to be likeable but sometimes they were weird. The story was mainly about relationships but also got a bit bizarre at times. Interesting book and I woudl like to read mor from this author.
Off to paperclip next!

Enjoyed this book. Story was a bit farfetched in its plausibility but it was good. Would read another book from this author to see if that is her style or not.

Thanks for the book - it's just arrived in time for me to take it on holiday with me!
A fantastic cheesy romantic novel - Jill Mansell is definitely a master at this type of writing! Perfect for days at the beach - I raced through this book within a day.
Maybe a little far-fetched, but I expect nothing less from a paper version of a chick flick! The characters were definitely very likeable and it was nice to see a mix between young and old relationships. As well as being fun, the book takes its time over the plots and development of the villagers - I loved this book. Now in search of more Jill Mansell writing.
