I'm taking this book along with others on a trip to Austria and Hungary on June 13, 2004 through July 16, 2004. I hope to leave the books behind as I finish them, so I don't yet know how well I rate it/them.

These books are all from the Goodwill in Toronto where I bought a big stash of books (as I always do) to take on trips. We live in v. rural Pennsylvania in a town of 852 people; so it is not easy to find good used books. Consequently whenever I am in a big city I load up on books - I only buy Penguins, or books published by Knopf as I have found these publishers represent some of the world's best writers. The only exception to this rule is if the cover and/or shape of a book seem pleasing and interesting for some reason or other.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of these already well-travelled books. I hope they survive a long, long time. They deserve to.
