1991 Headline paperback of the 1989 medieval Hugh Corbett mystery in the series. In this one, our King's clerk hero in the year 1299 must solve the mystery death of a Mass celebrant in St. Paul's Cathedral, in full view of the King and other notables. I found this pristine copy today in the Magee Little Free Library.
Edit May 22, 2024: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. It runs a bit short. I currently have this ranked at #2936 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
