The Black Moon

This book is a collaboration amongst 5 authors: Loren D. Estleman, Ed Gorman, W. R. Philbrick, Robert J. Randisi, and L. J. Washburn. I have read work of all the contributors to this book with the exception of Philbrick.
Here is a synopsis of the book from the back cover:
Forty years ago in Italy, a vicious gang of thieves broke into a museum, stole four paintings and murdered an American soldier. In 1989 the paintings resurfaced--- and so do the murderers. Salvatore Carlucci, part-time private eye and owner of the Black Moon bar, calls on a cadre of America's toughest detectives for a continent-wide investigation. It's a mystery that will impel all of them to uncover the truth behind the paintings' disappearance --- and expose one of the most complex art scams of the century.
I thought it was a pretty good book.
