The Things That Matter Most

On to Mt TBR it goes.
This is the debut novel of Aussie Gabbie Stroud and, although it is fiction, it packs a powerful message. Stroud's characters have depth and appeal and the plot is thoroughly credible. The story clearly demonstrates the challenges faced by those folk who are charged with teaching our children; their enormous workload; the lack of bureaucratic support; the complaints and criticism faced from a community seeking to lay blame. The narrative is topical, moving and thought-provoking, with a dash of humour here and there, however do have the tissues close to hand.
