Quirky read about a girl taken out of a religious cult and put into a foster home. This is a nice story of how she affects and unknowingly helps her new family to change. This is saved for Leester next.

Just the kind of book I like, a book that tells the story of some otherwise "average" people living through an unusual circumstance.
I especially enjoyed the relationship between Heather and M.F. and how Heather changed and matured as a result of this girl who was a "dork". I was starting to worry that the second half of the book got a little too "Movie of the Week" for me, but it didn't interfere too much with my enjoyment! In fact I could not put it down once I reached the half-way mark.

Thanks Pooh for passing this along. I will pass it on to cestmoi when I see her tonight.

Finally got around to digging this out of boxes of books and read it over this weekend. I really liked it. I also liked how M.F. influenced her new "family" just by being herself. I liked the realism of Heather and her teenage angst and also how M.F. related to her real mother.
