Excellent little book exposing the worst towns - contributions were by the many people who lived there...
My town wasn't in though, maybe they will do another book! Seems to be quite a realistic tour of the UK, cut out the pretty stuff, most is covered in carbuncles, and concrete!
What do you think?
BOOKRING NOTE
BRUJULA - Please contact me when you have finished, I might continue with the bookring.
Generally it is for UK bookcrossers as they may find it more interesting/appropriate

Hilarious, great toilet reading. Have lived in quite a few of the places listed and have visited many others. Agreed with all! Inspired if depressing tour of the UK really.
Really grateful for the book ring. Thanks me dear. :*)

This book arrived in the post yesterday from Deebookfairy, as part of a Bookring. So far have just glanced through it, worried already that I have been to a few of these places!
I enjoyed this as a dipping into book. Many of the contributors were very witty and I did laugh at their comments. Think it just goes to prove though that no matter where people are from there is a tendancy to see the familiar as boring and crap. The comments made won't put me off going to some of the towns mentioned in the book, such as Winchester
Have now posted this book to Robert-Walker, the next person in the chain.
Just arrived this morning, can't wait to read this to see how many of these places i have visited, and also to find out if Rotherham is in here or not, it has to be.
I flew through this book, it was hillarious, and some of the comments by the people who lived in these towns had me in stiches. There is a comment in the book by someone in the town that came 24th, which reads 'He still cites his visit to....as the main cause of his subsequent psychological difficulties'...I must agree with the affect this town has on people, my good friend married a girl from this town and i've witnessed his psychological downfall ever since. There's also a Bob Dylan story in this book that was so funny, you have to read it.
The number one crap town would probably get my vote to after spending a crap night there last summer. I went to see a band, who turned out to be crap. The band was so poor i don't think they expected anyone turning up. Me and a friend turned up without tickets, they were so pleased someone had come, they put us on the vip list, we stayed for two songs, that was only so we could finish our beers. Then we proceeded into the town centre for a drink, the only place open, or the only place we found was a strip joint, no we did not enter, so i have to agree with the number one crap town, IT'S CRAP!!!!
But why is Rotherham not in this book, i can only guess that because the research for this book was carried out mainly on the internet, and Rotherham still living in the past where rations and rickets prevail, the internet is a long way from reaching my home town.
I will now pass this on to the next person in the ring.

Now on its way to Olifant in The Netherlands.
That's a good-looking :-) book. Came together with To Reach the Clouds.
Thanks robert-walker for sending and GlitterLover for ringing!

Voting under a Stockport Viaduct?!
Wolverhampton: ‘In the evenings, the smell of hops from Banks’ Brewery permeates the town like the stench of a trapped animal slowly decaying in a drain pipe’.
A nice book to glance through. I like the motto’s Dan and Sam give places, such as ‘Behold the Fruits of the Swamp’ (Mirfield) and ‘God has given this unemployment unto us’ (Liverpool). The book makes me want to make a similar one for my own country.
Book is off to Buchsuch on Monday!

Received yesterday!
Thank you Jacinta2000 and buchsuch!
Thank you Jacinta2000 and buchsuch!
Well, I'm glad I packed this book in my suitcase last Thursday! It made the 6 hours wait in Strasbourg airport almost bearable! (I knew there would be trouble, since French air controllers were on strike-as usual)
It is a funny read, even if I didn't know many of the towns described in the book!
Now I'm waiting for Jacinta2000's instructions for this book!
Thank you for sharing it!
