Dead to the World
12 journalers for this copy...
More fun for Sookie Stackhouse and her supernatural friends. I like this one best so far.
Picked up from ghir at the meeting of ToC. After I finish, this will be a bookray.
What’s a bookray and how does it work?
A bookring is when a book passes from person to person based on the list of members involved. A bookring book is never released into the wild since it should end up back with the person who registered it. A bookray works exactly like a bookring except the book is never returned to the original owner. Much like a paper ray of sunshine, the book travels forever.
To join this bookray (or any other bookring/ray of mine) please private message me and include your location and shipping preference (US only, international, etc.). I will be glad to add you to the list. New members are added all of the time so be sure to check the list of participants before you mail the book to the next in line just in case it's changed since you got the book.
Once you are a bookray member, you will receive the book from the person listed before you. When you receive the book please make a journal entry stating that you’ve received it. Then read it as soon as you can (no absolute hurry, just be reasonable please), and journal again with your thoughts, ideas, or opinions on it. You’ll then need to private message the person on the list after you for their address. Mail the book by media mail (it’s cheaper!) and make a release note so that we can track it. Then sit back and watch the journey continue!

I must agree with ghir, this is the best one so far. This one has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments, a lot more cool "supes" ... Sookie gets a little tougher without losing what makes her so special. This also contains, ahem, ummmm ... what I consider to be the best, yummiest sex scene of the series so far. And it was the first one that actually made me cry. You can tell by the ending that there will be more coming, and already I can't wait!!!
Hoooo-EEEEE! As those Southerners do say( don't get all excited, I've lived there). An exciting wild ride that takes place just days after the last book, so Sookie has barely time to heal from her last beating (oh, yeah, thanks for some that vampire blood). A war is brewing- and the witches are doing the cooking. I wonder what supe Ms. Harris will introduce next?
Inventive and fun. A blast to read. Will recommend it to many. PLEASE WRITE MORE SOON CHARLAINE HARRIS! (Okay, I'm not psycho...)

This book is on its way to sharalsbooks...enjoy!
Received this book today and I am so happy to read the next installment of Sookie's adventures. I have a few bookrings ahead of this one I have to finish first, but I hope to get this one read quickly and passed on. Thanks for including me!
Just an update...I've started the book today and hope to get it read quickly. So far, I'm really enjoying it.
Awesome book! I can't wait for the next installment of the Southern Vampire series. I am curious to see what happens at the next full moon and how Jason fares and if Alcide discovers Sookie's involvement in Debbie's departure...I really enjoyed the alternate side of Eric and will be curious to see if he figures out everything that happened. I was kind of happy to see that Sookie has moved on, sort of, from Bill, though I'm sure they have quite a bit of unfinished business between them.
I have PM'ed scaredy and will be sending the book out as soon as I receive an address. Thanks again for starting this ring.

Received book today from sharalsbooks. I can't wait to read it! I have a few books going right now..But, it is next in line on my "to be read" list!
It looks like my entries didn't take. So, I will try again. I finished this book a few days ago and it is now off to jewelmcjem in Michigan.
I loved the book. I thought that it was probably one of the best in the series.
Can't wait to see what happens with her love life and her brother in the next book!
Enjoy!

Just a quick note to say that jewelmcjem has received this book and has not had a chance to journal it yet. She will get to it after the holidays - thanks for understanding! :)
Well, it is WAY after the holidays, sorry I've bogged down this ray! I contacted wizardsheart, but she had already borrowed it from a friend b/c I took so long. I apologize so much! I'll be contacting bookaholic2 for an address.
The book was awesome. While awaiting my turn, I read all the others in the series and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I'm awaiting the next in the series, I love all the characters and how each book adds more types of mythology that turn out to be for real.

I just finished this book and thought it was cute and fun. I've been reading more educational books recently, which made reading this adventure about Sookie like a mini vacation!
Thanks so much for sharing this book as a bookray. I have pm'd SheWhoReads who appears to be next on the list and will mail it out to her as soon as I have her address. Take care all...

This came in the mail today. Thanks, Deanya!
I really enjoyed that; the Southern Vampire books just get better and better with each installment! It looks like we're going to be seeing more of Sookie's brother Jason. I'll be interested to see how his character develops. And I agree with Sharalsbooks -- I'm glad to see Sookie has started to move on from Bill. Not that I have anything against Bill, but I always felt that Sookie got together with him for the wrong reasons.
Other impressions:
-- I'm very interested in the introduction of the fairy character; I have a feeling she'll be important in the future.
--I like Sam more and more in each book; he's a sweetie.
--Alcide is also a sweetie, but he's also waaaay too easily manipulated by a pretty face.
--Debbie...what a bitch.
--Boy, Bon Temps sure is a hotbed of supernatural activity, isn't it!

Yeah! This arrived today, and I can't *wait* to catch up with Sookie and her mis-adventures...I'm right in the midst of another book currently, but will start this one in the next few days. I'm looking forward to it!
Yup...definately a good one! I particularly like Eric (it's that 'bad boy' thing, I guess!) and was glad to see him featured so prominently in this book. The only 'complaint' I have is I'd like to see more of Bubba (that whole concept makes me giggle)...but, I enjoyed this installment so much, I ran to the library yesterday and grabbed "Dead as a Doornail" so I can see what happens next!
I got a PM with Vicki's addy today, so I will get this out to her on my next PO run. Thanks so much for sharing this one, fanclub, it was alot of fun. * mailed 9/3
