I was actually looking at this one at Chapters bookstore this afternoon and later that day I saw it at the thrift store so I snatched it up. I've added it to my overflowing TBR pile.

I finished this one in a day. I don't think I am the target audience for this book which may influence why I didn't think it was so hot. Sure, I stuck with it to the end, but I couldn't find myself really caring one way or the other about any of the characters. I also found the storyline totally unbelievable. Maybe this type of world exists for some teens, but it was SO far removed from my experience and the experience of anyone that I know that I just couldn't imagine it could happen. This could be a reflection of a too tall tale or of my naivite'! On a positive note, I do think that the author was able to capture the distinct voices of Violet and Claire. I just wasn't too interested in what they had to say!

I will be releasing this one where I think a younger, more angsty audience is likely to find it. That's the target audience, and I think they may enjoy it more than I did.

i was delivering the now paper along church street and my work partner spotted the FREE BOOK sticker on the cover - - i started screaming because after hearing about book crossing a few months ago i always wondered about this little bits of literature being scattered free to the wild of the world and where or if i'd ever find one myself - - this is only the beginning - violet and claire yet to read - - starting tonight after a good dose of authentic italian gelato the rest of this night is ours
