*Second Nature

Not one of my favorites, but still a beautiful, magical tale, which is always to be expected. I find the "wolf man" plot line to be a little tired, but I think Hoffman added her own touch to it and had enough other things going on with the characters that it made up for that.

Arrived in today's mail, an "almost" surprise! (I had forgotten that fanclub said she'd send it.) Thank you, ma'am! Another addition for Mt. TBR. As if that needs any more additions. *grin*
A quick, delightful read. I agree with fanclub: the "raised by wolves" fantasy is a bit overdone, but this is one of the best treatments of that particular plot I've read by far.
Thanks for the treat, fanclub! I'll find a good place to set it free soon.

Left at Starbuck's in honor of Campo Seco, state historic landmark #257.
Technically I should've left the book at the marker there, but it was very remote, someone was watching, and I didn't feel comfortable doing so.
