Different cover from the one I own.

In a distant and far-off place there were legends of Jacaroo, the masked outlaw hero who gave aid to the helpess and money to the destitute. But Gwyn, the Innkeeper's daughter, is too practical to take heed of such tales, and her days are too full fo rher thoughts to dwell on mere gossip for long.. until, that is, she is stranded in an abandoned cabin. There seh finds a cloak, a mask, a sword. Do these belong to Jackaroo? Will he return for them? Gradually she discovers the truth about who and what is Jackaroo.

Jackaroo = Aussie for cowboy, those who work the land down here.

Not what this story is about - kind of Robin Hood but with a twist. Good read as are all her works *some more than others*

I loved Jackaroo and On Fortune's Wheel when I was a teenager. Bookfrog has given this to me so I can release it as my J in the Alphabet challenge. Almost tempted to read it before I let it go but as J is the letter I'm releasing I guess I won't have time :(. Oh well!

Release planned for Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Gloria Jeans, Marrickville Metro in Marrickville, New South Wales Australia.

J is for Jackaroo

Released for the May Alphabet challenge. Left with the papers and magazines at Gloria Jeans at Marrickville metro.

Woohoo! My first book found! I was so pleased that this book was still waiting for me but feel bad that it wasn't found by a newbie after such a great effort was made with all the labels, bookmarks and stuff. I did, however, release another book in its place.

I intended to release this book in Melbourne but ran out of time and ended up leaving it with my Mum instead. I'm sure she will release it on my behalf at some later date.
