I really enjoyed this book although I thought the ending was somewhat surprising... a very good novel, much more enjoyable an account of the immigrant experience in London than White Teeth IMHO.

I really loved this book, in fact I couldn't put it down. As with the previous reviewer LeighBCD I found this far more enjoyable than White Teeth although it is still a sprawling story that sees the characters go through some rather large leaps. Highly recommended.
