The Dance of the Trees is a story with a message for all ages. ALthough it looks and reads like a children's book, it is much more. The journey of the trees parallels that of humans and honors ancient wisdom. Who would miss a chance to learn the trees secret? It reminds us to embrace our choices and to live our own dance. The illustrations add to the fun.

I received this delightful children's book yesterday from the author, BookCrosser tags, and thoroughly enjoyed the story of when trees had no roots and ran free all over the earth.

I'll be starting up a BookRing or BookRay with this book sometime soon. I'll post it today on the BookRing forum.

Journal Entry 6 by wingsolittletimewing from Portland, Maine USA on Tuesday, August 10, 2004
To all BookRing participants:

Please make a journal entry when you receive the book and also send a PM to the next person in line to get their mailing address.

I'm sure that BookCrosser tags, who is the author, would be interested in your comments in the journal entries after you read her book. And please make a journal entry when the book is sent on to the next person on the BookRing, so we can keep track of where it is on its journey. If you can, it is a good idea to get delivery confirmation when the book is mailed, which I believe costs an extra 55 cents.

If the mailing order needs to be changed or additional BookRing members are added, I'll indicate the changes in the above journal entry, so please check the listing in Journal Entry 5 before sending the book on.

I hope that you all enjoy this book as I have! Happy Reading!

A nice, sweet, colorful book with an earthy message. It's nice to know that people are writing books for kids talking about our connection to the earth.

We loved this book. Sorry I kept it longer than planned but I did want to share it again with the children. The children ages 2 1/2 to 10 really enjoyed it. One of the ten year-olds took it from my desk so that she could read it again.
I loved the meaning behind the story and the illustrations were great!
Thank you again for sharing with us and I mailed to next on list on Friday, 17 Sep.

Let me start by letting everyone know that the book is safe. The book arrived while our house was under some serious construction and must have been put aside by a family member. I just found it (as well as a few other books) & read it right now. I am truly sorry about this delay.

I enjoyed the book, but thought it was sad. Mankind is so selfish. I have loved trees (and animals) as far back as I can remember. In fact, at work my annual Arbor Day greeting to everyone is, "It's Arbor Day- Take a tree to lunch." Yes, it's stupid but I can't make myself stop saying it.

I think the book did an excellent job of getting its message across with so few pages, and the illustrations helped the story come alive. This just reinforces my feelings that the big money people behind the logging industry really are cold-hearted and evil.

I will put the book somewhere safe and PM casperette for her address. Will send out to her this week.

What a beautiful book! I took a few minuted this morning from my work to read through this. I enjoyed the beautiful pictures and the great tale of the trees of old.
I have always found trees to be beautiful, each unique in their own way, filled to the roots with secrets of history that we will never know. I will pass this on today so others may enjoy this gift. Thank you.

A great book, showing how when nature is left along it gets on fine. Then man intefereces and the trees are not so happy, and rooted themselves to the ground to try and stay safe. The children enjoying the trees our the hope for a better future.

Felt this links to the importance of encouraging and teaching children to care for the environments to prevent furture damage being done.
