9 out of 10

WONDERFUL book!!! Thank you so much nancydotslash for sending this one out as a ring!!! I loved every minute of this book. Needless to say, I'm tempted to read the next two books in the series right now (the 2nd arrived as I was about 1/2 way through this one!), but unfortunately I need to get a handle on all of my other rings/rays first. Kelley Armstrong may very well be one of my new favorite authors.

I'm not sure which character ended up being my favorite in the book. Clayton made me laugh the most I think so I'd probably lean towards him as my choice though, but I also really enjoyed Elena's smart@$$ comments that she came back with to all the guys. ha ha!

Anyway, I can't wait to see what others think of this book. I'll be sending this on to Sidney1220 later this week.

Elena Michaels seems like the typically strong and sexy modern woman. She lives with her architect boyfriend, writes for a popular newspaper, and works out at the gym. She's also a werewolf.

Elena has done all she can to assimilate to the human world, but the man whose bite changed her existence forever, and his legacy, continue to haunt her. Thrown into a desperate war for survival that tests her allegiance to a secret clan of werewolves, Elena must reckon with who, and what, she is in this passionate, page-turning novel.
__________________________________________________________________

In this book, the author has constructed a wonderful and imaginative world in which werewolves roam the wilds. I found the characterization of some of the characters hard to take at times, mainly because the author took pains to inbue them with both the traits of humans and those of wolves. There were times when I really disliked Elena and Clayton, and her incessant psychoanalysis of her own motivations gets old after a while. Still, the story was entertaining enough for me to keep turning the pages and the characters did redeem themselves towards the end. Since the publishing of this book, Ms. Armstrong has published 3 more sequels involving not only werewolves, but witches and warlocks. I am very interested in seeing what new spins she can put on those characters.

This was a great read! It kept me totally absorbed for most of my flight from Seattle to the UK, which is always a good thing. ^_^ I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series because now I want to know what happens next! I'll be shipping it as soon as I'm able.

I loved this what a great read. Elena was a brillient charecter very strong and sassy. I enjoyed this so much I went out and bought Stolen which I am reading at the moment which is just as good if not better than Bitten. I highly recomend it.

I loved this book! Already read the next parts but I think the first book in the series was the best :)
Elena and Clay's story is really original and wonderfully told.

10 out of 10

I loved, loved, LOVED this book! 10 stars! And I never give out 10 stars!

It would be so easy to babble on and gush about this story, but I'll try to keep myself from writing too much and giving things away. The beginning seemed to have a little bit of a flat quality (not much, since I never wanted to put the book down!), but looking back at it now it seems perfectly appropriate. But once the story takes off there's a lot of action! This is very well plotted! I especially loved how the other characters seemed to grow and evolve as Elena's perception of them changed. Ah, the things we want to see, and the things we refuse to see -- very well done!

I may have to go buy a copy of this for my personal collection, and copies of the rest of the books in the series, too! I may have to go back to upstate New York, and look for wolves... :)

I thought this was great! I loved Clay. It was frustrating when Elena couldn't see how perfect he was for her. I've got to find a copy of Stolen to read now.
I will be mailing this to the next person today.
