For some reason I had taken a break from the Tom Thorne series but as soon as I picked this up, I remembered why I like Tom Thorne as a character so much. The novels are all very people driven and it's more about what makes people tick and why they commit certain crimes rather than just blood and violence.
The author builds the story up nicely and slowly, you begin to see people for who they are ( the good ones and the "badies") and the conclusion is not always perfect but certainly human one. Good read !
