The Day After Tomorrow

This book is basically a fictionalized version of the author's previous book The Coming Global Superstorm - which was very shocking to read the possibilites of what could happen in an instant to our climate. This book is basically the script version of what might happen should our climate change dramatically as it has in the past, almost overnight. Though not terribly well written, it is worth reading just for the 'wow' factor. I recommend highly, also reading The Coming Global Superstorm, which is far better written and much more detailed.
Journal Entry 2 by AlexiBlue at Victoria Hotel Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland Netherlands on Friday, May 7, 2004
Released on Friday, May 07, 2004 at Victoria Hotel Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland Netherlands.
Unfortunately, as I broke my ankle while on my European vacation, I couldn't haul around a lot of books where I wanted to take them. So this one ended up with a stack of others left in the smoking area of the main lobby of the Victoria Hotel Amsterdam where I stayed.

Went hunting!!!
Saw several release alerts at the Victoria Hotel in Amsterdam, so I went over there to look for the books.
Of course nowhere to be found! Ask at the reception, got redirected to the security guy, who knew exactly what I was talking about. He had collected the books, and put them in his office. They would most likely be handed to the lost and found department, though, as he said, they clearly indicated they weren't lost....
The nice man went to his office and came back with 8 books, this one amongst them.

I found the book today in OBCZ Lef. The description on the back-cover reminded me vaguely of one of my favourite books: The Making of a Representative for Planet 8 by Doris Lessing, so I thought I'd give it a try. Thank you, all previous owners!

I have received so many books through Book-Crossing by winning second prize in the Winter-Raffle, that I want to let go of some books of my TBR-pile. So this is one of the fortunate ones I took to Mulligan's today. Goodbye book! Fare thee well...

Journal Entry 7 by schwester from Wien Bezirk 03 - Landstraße, Wien Austria on Sunday, April 13, 2008
I went to Amsterdam for a weekend (By the way: Amsterdam was great!), and OF COURSE had to visit the OBCZ. I left a book there, and had nothing else with me to read and a train journey of some hours in front... so I took this book with me, as it´s in a language I can read... ...already suspecting that I wouldn´t be the biggest fan... well, it´s based on a screenplay by Mr. Emmerich - quite a bias for me, I have to admit. But: I tried it, and (indeed) it´s too Hollywood for me, at least at the moment.
I´ll release it at work tomorrow, which is: in Darmstadt, Germany.
