Journal Entry 1 by synergy from San Antonio, Texas USA on Saturday, May 01, 2004
I just started reading this book off my TBR stack of books I've bought at San Antonio's Central library's Book Cellar. It's a page turner so far. A quote from USA Today on the front cover says "A combination of The Hot Zone and Speed." So far, so good. I agree. Journal coming up when I finish and/or release.

I flew (haha) through the rest of the book. As I said, it was a real page turner. The book title is hokey (esp. in the back cover's review), but the plot was good and the events were hopping so you had to race to keep up. Some parts of it seemed familiar, but I'm not sure if that has to do with the cover saying that it was made into an NBC series. Maybe I saw commercials for it? The story involves a deteriorating former USSR, a mystery virus built during the depths of the Cold War, a plane full of frightened and friendless people, and a covert group out to undermine their saving. And wait until the epilogue... The back of the book's summary: "The biowarfare people call the bug a Level 4 pathogen. That means no cure. No hope. No survivors. Now it's loose on Quantum Flight 66. One passenger is already dead. The experts say in 48 hours the rest may follow. James Holland, former U.S. fighter pilot, now flying this commercial Boeing 747, isn't ready to die. They say he can't land his plane. They say he's a threat to the whole world. They're ready to blast him out of the sky. Captain Holland may be on a collision course with doom- but they're going to have to catch him first. He's determined to take whatever risks he must to outfly them. Outsmart them and beat... Pandora's Clock."

Journal Entry 3 by synergy at Sam's Burger Joint in San Antonio, Texas USA on Sunday, May 23, 2004
Released on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Sam's Burger Joint in San Antonio, Texas USA. I was so busy registering other books, that I'd forgotten to make a release notes for the books I released to KrazyKitties at our monthly "unofficial" meetup. Sorry about that. I hope you enjoy it. It was a decent thriller to pass the time.
