Another gorgeous volume of Chris Stewart's adventures in Las Alpujarras - this one a little more bittersweet than 'Driving Over Lemons', but a wonderful read nonetheless, and similarly guaranteed to herald a few dreamy 'what if?''s...:O)
This arrived the other day, but I was frantically getting an essay finished to post off before going away on holidays! Not only did lucycat notice that I'd read Driving over Lemons recently, and offer to send me this book (declining any offer of trade), she also included a gorgeous beaded bookmark as well. Thank you so much, lucycat! I'll be looking forward to reading this, probably as soon as we get back.
I loved this just as much as 'Driving Over Lemons' - such a great read! Chris Stewart seems like the nicest person, and their life in Andalucia seems perfect for this very unconventional group. It sure got worrying there for a bit, but seemed upbeat again by the end. I hope he writes more books! Thanks again so much, Lucycat. I'll see if Pikapolonica wants this as well as Driving Over Lemons when she gets back in September, if that's ok.
